Katie [upon surveying the carnage]: wow, remember when we were first married and i was teaching and you were a student and life was mental and we used to spend three hours every saturday morning folding washing?
Bulldog: mmm, we seem to have come full circle.
the big news is that i also cleaned the showers today - but am wondering why it's called "Sugar Soap" - does it have sugar in it? and also wondering why they're called "scotchbrite scouring pads" - uh, they don't seem to contain any scotch - but i have the cleanest showers (and feet) in The Sunny Bay. can't remember the last time i cleaned the showers so am feeling pretty righteous.

Might interest you to know that over here in the UK we too are cleaning our shower also without the aid of scotch. May have to rectify that pretty soon...
Full circle... crack me up! Andrew said something similar today but he was talking about hockey. Way back when we both used to play, the boot would end up full of sticks and balls and bags and cones and we would say to each other "The car is NOT a hockey storage facility!" This morning I opened the back of the truck and it was full of huge gear bags and sticks and balls and tracksuits and we yelled at the kids "The truck is NOT a hockey storage facility!"
Yay for cleaning the showers.
Good luck for teaching art to 6 year olds tomorrow. I will be in bed sleeping as I'm off to work tonight so have fun tomorrow.

Oh you're so funny! You're not alone either - I've totally scrubbed our showers this week - even taking out the yucky bit in the middle, filled with gunk! And then I spent Sat 'avo tackling our laundry/art room - I'd forgotten there was a floor underneath all the layers of paint.. and as for the washing machine - urghhhh - it's a miracle that the clothes have been coming out clean from it at all!

I always figured showers sort of cleaned themselves, so why should I have to? ;-)
Great post, I finally checked out your blog from ADIP!
