kate5kiwis: rainy weekend + kids = scary fairy monstars

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

rainy weekend + kids = scary fairy monstars

i ordered this book a couple of weeks ago on the pretext of inspiring my soft materials techno kids, but i haven't been allowed to take it to skool yet... and since it arrived *squee!* no one has any socks left either, cos they've all been refabriKATEd!!!
yep, the kiddos and i've become
addicted to making these critters!!

ok. formal introductions:
meet jeremy, estelle,

red wetty and mister jackson,
who've become instant siblings
for claudie aka squishems and squaddle.

we're the monSTARS!
that's m-o-n.. uh...

What an excellent book-summer reading-and-creating here we come!

I love your sock critters, Kate, and now I am inspired to make some teeny-tiny sock critters from Kiri's old socks :)

Thank for the inspiration :)
