Squaddly Oddly Rocks Our Socks!!!!!
meet Squaddly Oddly,
the first Sock Monster to be created around these parts.
yes, that's right - Squadle,
as he's affectionately nicknamed,
was concocted from two tortured old rugby socks, a couple of buttons, and an old tie by S11 and me during a few crafty moments last night. We followed the destructions for Owlsley,
who's the brainchild of John Murphy of Stupid Sock Creatures. this guy is hilarious - unbelievably crafty-kid-and-mummy friendly.
we had such a blast making Squadle, and are rather startled by his acrobatics, smoochy lips and all-round goofiness. we think he's a great match for S11.(we're totally smitten by these easy peasy oh! so instantly made Sock Monsters - BEWARE - there are no safe places for socks to hide!!!)

Ooooo we LOVE him. especially those pouty lips. Got the library book earmarked for pick-up tomorrow. Henry wants one of his own...
PS We're watching rugby again. And cheering for the underdogs again.
FABULOUSO! That is just so cool. Jess was in the middle of making a sock monkey when we visited the Angoves a few weeks ago.....Obviously very 'IN'.....must learn to make one for my kiddos.

Oh my god I love him. Like SO MUCH!! Seriously, I love "ugly" monsters. How sweet is this project. I may have to try this now that we are getting closer to the holdays.

If there are no safe places for socks to hide, can you tell me where they go when I dry a load of them, and some always disappear?
