“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.”
— Mitsugi Saotome

Ode to The Dress
rather uncreatively:
thanks…
for getting me through
every emotion of October.
for being a quiet distraction
and inspiration.
and now it’s au revoir.
i’m going to Sydney:
with or without you.

day #26
"does my bum look big in this?"
actually i have my full running gears on (which i have been wearing all day, in hopes of persuading self to GO FOR A RUN) under The Dress. and actually, i just popped The Dress on for five minutes - at four thirty - to LOOK like i've been a faithful model (it's amazing what ya can do to persuade the internet).
so - i originally had the hose wound around my waist as a BELT, but BD said i looked like Jane with an anaconda.
*shriek!*.
immediate hose droppage ensued and then i managed to rip its head off. even after talking myself down, i still couldn't quite bring self to hold ithe hose/belt properly and there is no way we're repeating THAT photo shoot - apologies to Arthur - it was such a great idea... X

Titania, Queen of the Fairies
aka The Antidote to 60 Hours Inside the Batcave
i had this crazy idea
that our year would consist of
philosophical beachy meanderings,
interspersed with little lectures.

inside the batcave.
writing, writing.
hunched shoulders, dry lips.

The Dress has been westified.

a beautifully soft Roxy,

so i just sneak it back to mine...
day #17
well, it's nearly dinner time, and i'm still in my PJs. this morning The Dress had a swim and a press, and i had plans for A Week of Silly Dress Ups... but i see it is still hanging up. instead i am in the middle of a cyclic swirl of coffee, smint, essay, coffee, smint, essay, coffee, smint, nana nap, coffee, smint, essay...
here's to the dim light at the end of this last tunnel.

check out these groovy lads:
who watched frank until
the wee small hours
and then turned themselves
into stegosauruses.
day #2
yeah, it's a bit freezier in The Sunny Bay aujourd'hui - lovin' the shorty black layers:
today's feature: THE ARMPIT BAG (named by sam this morning as i was dashing out - mum, *raises eyebrow* i love your ARMPIT BAG), nicked outta the dress-up box.

day #1
meet THE DRESS.
it's a cute little hippie hand-me-down strappy silky (that's an adjective, masquerading as a noun). today has dawned bright and clear, and i have done a deal with Bulldog. today i'll have an adventure with the kids while he does his essay, and tomorrow we do a swapsie. so - we're heading for the beach.
hence the bare feet. and the cheesy grin.
