“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.”

steve i hear you. i think "postcard" would be a great title X
s.b. kiss X
laura aha, roller coaster, clickety clack. i was listening to this nickelback song in the car yesterday on one of our road trips around town, i think their staccato sound got stuck in my consciousness - today’s words spilled out with similar intensity X
It always takes my breath away when I come here and find one of your poems. I forget that you do that. I wish I had that power to write in that way - it must be therapeutic?
RB therapeutic? sometimes. i have always been wobbly about my "writing ability", because at school i preferred to make a pretty heading and bullsh*t the rest... and it often amazes me which writings strike a chord with others. it's only been the last few months that i've been stringing words together like this. i've been listening to so much RHCP. love the angst and surprises in the lyrics that AK chooses X

I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn't resolve. But I was outside the Bagdad Theatre in Portland one night when I saw a man playing the saxophone. I stood there for fifteen minutes, and he never opened his eyes. After that I liked jazz music. Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself. It is as if they are showing you the way. - Donald Miller

Hi Kate -- I love the power of the words you choose. They hit like punches. They're strung together like the cars on a roller coaster.
It looks cathartic. :)
