kate5kiwis: huts and hats and holes

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

huts and hats and holes

and what have The Lads been up to while mummykate's been so busy whizzy??
making a hut from a h-u-g-e cardboard box: M5 wrote various messages to himself on the outside, including M5's HAT (crossed out and re-written HUT)

putting up S9's tent (he and M5 are gonna sleep his Birthday Eve out in it!!) and creating various piles, which i've been continuing to dodge.
nah, we had The Big Clean Up for an hour just now, yep, sucked it all up the vacuum cleaner. or we would have, if our vaccy was as spiffy as sarahbean's.
Speed Quilt Update:
all the squares are sewn together, now i'm about to attach it to the padding...
i think it'll still be a WIP for a day or two. unless i find my fairy dust.
speaking of fairies, specifically, tooth fairies, M5 is *not* gonna have any teeth left the way he's going. all of our other children's fillings COMBINED TO DATE total two. yes, two kids have had ONE filling each.
but i got seriously grilled by the dental nurse today:
M5 needs seven fillings.
*gulp*
There's gonna be some Serious Sugar Policing and Tooth Brushing from hereon.

OHMYGOSH....Did you seriously say 7!!!!! Freak out. Poor M5, sounds like my big bro he had to have multiple fillings at 5 and got so fed up he bit the nurse lol. They then sent him up to the hospital to get it done...so the drama! xxx

Don't feel bad - some kids have good teeth - some have bad. Cathie was the best brusher in our house and had heaps of fillings when she was little - I caught up a bit as I got older, but then Grant went to the dentist last year (first time since he left school) and he got a clean and an 'all clear' and was on his way! I brush, floss and wash and I got 2 fillings! Gutted!!
