kate5kiwis: stationary stationery

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

stationary stationery

the hippie-happy-homeskooling-mother has finally found all the pens and pencils which the kids kept insisting had disappeared...
in The Nefarious Bottom Drawer in the kitchen.
ok, let's have another *prize pick*...
cos i am desperate to finish The Clean Out and get back to some *creative moments*:
clue: they're all now safely stashed in the box, in the bottom left corner of the *tidy* drawer above!!

Aren't you doing well!!
I say 25 pens and pencils.
I find they have a mind of their own....I either have HEAPS or none at all! Mind you I have a feeling my school dwelling husband may have some thing to do with that :-)

I'm going to say 29 - I seem to have that number on my mind lately....and please can I win - it's not that I'm competitive, I just hate to lose. And for the record there is method to my counting - I have done a count of the pens I can see, and then multiplied it by the depth of an icecream container - "so I can clearly choose the cup infront of me...let's drink" (movie line)

OK, I say 31....
Oh, and how tidy it that drawer!!!!!!!!!! I am a bit envious....I don't even have a drawer like that! And if I did, it wouldn't stay like that for long.
Leighleigh, is that from The Princess Bride? Love that scene.

Is it wrong that I covet your drawer? Both for the neatness and the amount of stationary supplies in it. It is giving me goosebumps. And I say 43 is the number, just because.

"you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me"

Please please please let me be right - take out a few pens if you need to....

nope leighleigh...
so that rules out your age *and* mine.
ok, the clue is "Life The Universe And Everything minus ten".
rather bizarre, but if you're in the know, then you'll know it.
(Dad, you are NOT eligible to win lol)
let's hope you put your thinking cap back on after putting the girls to bed...

you've fallen victim to one of the classic blunders... i switched glasses while your back was turned!!!

there is a winner:
it's ***barb***!!!!
but leighleigh, you came such a close second and you asked so nicely that i'll make you a prize as well ok... i know, i hate *losing* too lol.....
will post the details next week sometime......
cos hubby and i are *off* on A Romantic Weekend tomorrow...
au revoir tout le monde!!!
*kate blows kisses*

And I know where my towel is!

you are so right: according to The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have" but D17 says to tell you that digital watches aren't such a good idea. lol.
and the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything is 42
minus ten = the number of pens and pencils i found in The Nefarious Bottom Drawer.........

and i have finally finished Cleaning Out My Room, which just leaves The Pantry, and The Freezer (anyone have a spare ice pick??). i think i'll leave those 'til next week.
and then i'll make the *prizes* ok.

"so it's goodnight from me, and it's goodnight from him. goodnight!" (telly programme line) X
