kate5kiwis: re-fashioning: katie's little creative moment

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

re-fashioning: katie's little creative moment

in the midst of our crazy weekend with a ton of gorgeous kids and sleepovers, my friend nikki and i had a coffee moment in town while the teenage girls shopped themselves crazy..
and as we mooched past the shop windows on the way to meet the girlies, i spotted this: it's a red napkin ring, with heart beads!!!!
i immediately thought: *bracelet*

so i bought two: and unwired one... and this is what i made:

a necklace and a bracelet: the heart beads are holding hands with some pink pearls from the depths of my jewellery-suitcase.
and then i made another bracelet to layer it with.
it's like having little fairies whispering around my wrist!!!!!
(which is good, cos the temperature has dropped and the sky has come over all cloudy today. so i am staying inside with my sunshine-feeling.)

Wow! Beading must be one of those things that you have a gift for or you don't. You...have the gift. We are starting to get spring weather here, so I guess it makes sense that the autumn is coming to you. Keep that sunshine!

You go gal!! I like your vibe...very feminine. I've got itchy fingers to do some now....AH but first I need to come up with a craft activity for my MOPS group on Friday....eeek....something that uses cavases and connects to the topic "Perspective"................Brain in overdrive............
WHEN that is done I shall reward myself with some jewellery.....I bought these cool rings with 8 loops on them to add some funky jewels.

I will say it again - set up a web site and sell your stuff online. (advertise free through your blog!!!) You are particulary clever - and oh so creative.....read the comments - people love it - and people like me (the not so clever and creative type) will never do it ourselves even if you make it sound like the easiest thing around - we will go online and buy it from you - or order it from you by sending in a picture of the outfit which we need jewellery matched to - see I have already started developing your business plan!
I am being oh so serious - you could be shipping your creations all round the world - and you could have a rule that if you ever have to send anything to Paris, you will fly it there yourself and deliver it in person - company policy!
