“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

Oh, Oh, Oh! Photos after my own heart!
There's nothing nicer than a round little ball of fluffy budgie with warm feet, sitting on your shoulder and snuggling up to your cheek...
I used to want a bird...
Until we got cats. :P
very cute. Both the lads and the budgies. We had birds (finches) but they weren't as fun so they went back to the store :).
Those are cute pics! I'm not sure I would ever want birds, but then we already have 4 cats, a hamster and a fish, so our "pet plate" is pretty full.
Em, I don't know that Rascal would like birds either. I had a friend who was "gerbil-sitting" for someone else, until my friend's husky accidentally ate the gerbil... Well, it wasn't accidental on the husky's part!
Cute pics! We've talked about getting a bird at some point. Right now we are renting and it's a strict "no pets" policy. Maybe someday :)
oh...so sweet...your M is such a spunky little guy...he is very smushable!!!!
lol folks
these little fellahs actually live at our friend's place.. we went over for a play.
cos i have already managed to kill two birds in our bird-as-a-pet-history:
well, actually, one just flew off straight towards the sun when i tipped the cage upside down to shake all the cockatiel-cr*p out of the bottom: the cage door flew open and WH-E-E-E-E-E-E........ bye bye birdie!!!!
