kate5kiwis: clock work

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

clock work

R13 came home from her first day of school last week with a Technology project: to design and make a three-dimensional clock, mechanism provided. She is thinking of something heart-shaped with corrugated aluminium hearts for decoration.
A little spark flew into J11's mind: for the last couple of days, he has been researching and designing himself a clock: thinking about wood and mechanisms and the how-tos. He wants a house-shaped clock with drawers and the clock part on the front of the roof.

He's going to be wowed by our dahling Carol-the-girl-scout's new cuckoo clock (from the Black Forest in Germany: where they originate from), gifted to her for her *surprise* fortieth partee on Friday night: where hubby and I boogied down to various beats: YEAH, TOAST etc... and he entertained us with his Michael Jackson moonwalking moves and the Thriller dance, and we all did the Brooklyn Hustle.. remember dancing *that* in your youth?? I know you do!!!
