kate5kiwis: our pre-Christmas escape

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

our pre-Christmas escape

Nope, not "es-cah-pay.."
We've just had a wonderful day and a half at our fave farm with D17's friend Shades and Louise and her two cool kids.

M5 doin' da grin outside The Log cabin: sleeps six, er ELEVEN...

Louise and James Bond aka hubby

R13 and April freezing, er floating down the river on tyres

J11 and me on a bushwalk

Blisterin' barnacles.. it's THE BARREL!!!!!
J11 getting ready to roll...

1-2-3... GO, S9 !!!!!!!!!!

ugga-dooga-thump-thump... "Ow, my head!"
(Daddy and M5 in background on The Rope Swing)

R13 and April getting their *hot choc* fix

S9 and Christopher climbing the walls...

D17 and James aka Shades doin' the man hunter-gatherer-thang: boiling water for our fabulous campy macaroni cheese (with crispy bacon) lunch. M-m-m-m-m, we especially loved all the black bits!!!

All in all a great instant-wind-down to Christmas. Lots of sunshine. Rain. Food. Snoring. Dan Brown catch-ups. Fun and smokey fires. Next year we'll be booking *three* days....
