“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.”

traffic light curry
i get teased on facebook for all my i'm-making-this-for-dinner status updates. but when you're a mama of hungry teens, food features rather frequently on your horizon. today was back-to-skool, and we all arrived home feeling like we'd been hit by a train.enter pj's, a kids' movie, and traffic light curry. i named it myself, pfft... perfick rice, and a usual recipe refabriKATEd with additions of red capsicum + pumpkin + coriander (ooh, lookit, a maths equation). it looks pretty delish, if i say so myself.

I have a hungry teen and tween at my house, but nowhere near the fantabulous cooking skills as you! How long do all your wonderful dishes usually take to prepare?
hey barb, it makes me happy when things take half an hour or less to make. these daze my time frame is so different to the homeskool daze when the kids and i had all day to make stuff. this morning i whammed a corned dog (aka corned beef - not really my fave) into the slow cooker, squirted some golden syrup (a NZ thing!), a dried bayleaf and two star anise (cos i couldn't find the whole cloves). covered the whole thing with water, switched it to LOW. after skool the plan is to bribe a teen to peel/cook/mash spuds while another teen is at volleyball game... and dig up some fresh or frozen veges to go with.
blah blah. last night was spaghetti bolognaise, the instant crowd-pleaser, which i 'cooked with wine';)
rambling now, the answer to your question is in my first sentence hahahaha x x
