kate5kiwis: love love love

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

love love love

finally, the revelation
of my *forty* quilt.
it's full of fabrics from
across the miles and years.
some fabrics have been gifted,
some have floated around
the world in aprons,

some are in my children's quilts,
and some i even remember
from my childhood.

it captures the essence
of my world.

it's so wild and crazy.
i am now on the lookout
for a VW kombi to keep it in.

Wow, what a family heirloom that will be and an absolute treasure for you. It's absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations! Thousands of stitches of love.

Wishing you luck in finding that kombi van and finding a scenic spot to lay down on your quilt and enjoy a moment of peace, love and happiness (but just looking at the completed quilt probably makes you feel all of that!).

Gorgeous Kate, what a great job! You need to share your secret for funky letters I have no clue how to do that without them turning out like my six year old cut them out.
