kate5kiwis: On the Sixth Day of Christmas

kate5kiwis

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

On the Sixth Day of Christmas

katie dropped her lads at the *free entry with a can of food for the local food bank* hydroslide pool while she secretly popped into the mall. there katie dodged eleventy billion Crazed Christmas Shoppers, who were all dodging helpful salespeeps offering samples of the world's most luxurious moisturiser - which contains flakes of twenty four carat gold and extracts of donkey testicles - at a thousand dollars a dollop! (guess the movie line).

katie spent a crazed hour picking up a few bits'n'bobs for her kids from Santa and then she hid said bits'n'bobs in the boot of the car posted said bits'n'bobs FAST POST to Santa.

katie vowed and declared never to return to the mall until Boxing Day when the kids will spend their Christmas Money at the Boxing Day Sales while dodging eleventy billion Crazed Boxing Day Shoppers, who will all be dodging helpful salespeeps offering more samples of the world's most luxurious moisturiser.

katie returned home where she lit a candle and waved off the Bah Humbugness that is treatening to return thought about love, joy, and peace - and the local food bank.

Thank heavens for shopping on-line - no salespeeps, no forthing crowds and no muzak!

Actually that should have been "frothing crowds" but "forthing" kind of works.

It's from Mamma Mia, think-est me. Seen it WAY too many times.

(Of course, you've probably seen it twice the amount of times I have, and it would be really embarrassing if I was wrong and it isn't from Mamma Mia. But whatever. I'll take the risk.)
