kate5kiwis: mystery monday, rainday, chocday

kate5kiwis

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” — Mitsugi Saotome

mystery monday, rainday, chocday

well, we started off thinking we'll have a *mystery monday* but then, it was raining.
so i dodged a load of raindrops (here's to dodging bullets, guess the movie line, mum you should get this one, we watched it on saturday night lol) and picking DEAD SNAILS outta my precious garden.
forty two dead snails.
and nine dead slugs.
so i re-snail-pelleted the garden.
i know, rather inhumane, but it's us or them.

so then S10 stuck his hand in the mystery monday jar and pulled out something that needs a sunny day... and so we decided to go to the shop and grab a whole lotta chocolate and some strawberries and have a chocolate fondue for lunch.
it's health city over here.
but.... there were no strawberries at all.
so we've settled instead for a tin of pineapple pieces and some bananas to dip.
and it's now late afternoon and we're waiting for friends to come over and share... X

You've got to douse the snails in garlic, butter and parsley, and sling them in a hot oven!

I like your mystery Monday idea... if I could come up with as many creative ideas as you. Maybe I just need to look around.

lol, we did eat escargots in paris, sad to say they were kind of like rubbery chicken, unfortunately unmemorable... i am thinking that our next visit to france, we'll come to your place and cook up a storm... do you have un petit jardin aux escargots (gosh my franglish is terrible) on your back lawn?? the lads dreamed up lots of our *mystery monday* ideas, the plan is that MM has "Food And Exercise" in it. but there wasn't much exercise this week, unless you count "walking around the supermarket"...

see, chocolate is such a versatile food group. breakfast/lunch/dinner...
anything goes with chocolate
ooo have you seen the movie Chocolat with juliette binoche and johnny depp *swoon*
at one point, she pours chocolate sauce over roasted chicken...
mmmmm.
now that's for serious chocaholics
