sun kissed Kinsee
lovely Kinsee, we last felt you on friday, tucked up in mummy's tummy at the beach where we painted mummy's toenails for her, cos she couldn't reach! mummy was really wowed by this photo, she thought it was perhaps the moment when your soul was given to you?

last night you finally arrived at home, surrounded by your brothers and sisters. we're coming to see you on friday when we'll finally get to hold and snuggle you. we've got a pressie for you Kinsee, tucked up inside this pretty paper:
and what is it?? my first *taggies* mini quilt. it's ten inches square and has little *tags* out the sides for you to touch and hold and generally snuggle up to.
the baby kisses side
it's a bit of pinky sweetness, with a pearl bracelet inside. we're so excited that you're here Kinsee, and we look forward to watching you grow.

You've been bitten by the sewing bug, oui?

Hope the boys have fun on Fri...and don't get eaten by all those *shudders* school children...lol just kidding - don't anyone go sending me hate mail.
Sounds like a great week, enjoy.
'What do ya call this luv? It's sponge dear. Oh it's how ya do it.'
You make simple things stunning - and then wrap them in simple things and make them exquisite. Some people just have it - and you certainly do.
mousey
yep, you girls are *such* a bad influence on me *grin*

i love the spongecake/icing sugar scene.
and just found this pearl of wisdom from dale kerrigan, lol:
Mum said it was funny how one day you're not famous, and the next day you are. Famous. And then you're not again.
Aw! A beautiful homebirth baby and beautiful gifts to honor her arrival:)
Oh and as for the forward planning...I can see I'm gonna have to move back to the Bay a.s.a.p and disrupt things. Next thing you'll start being, dare I say it? -Early!!!!
liesl
yeah i really loved birthing at home the best. i hated having to get in the car and yell at hubby all the way to the hospital to *pull over to the side of the road* and then waddle painfully in and deliver the baby half an hour or ten minutes later. talk about stress out. i loved the candles and the music and the uninterrupted birthing-bubble i found myself in, staying at home.... X

yeah, The Gorgeous Debbie always says, "just tell us where and when the party is, and kate and i'll be half an hour late!!" lol
Do you remember that Grant had said that if I was late to the wedding, he would leave....which I knew he wouldn't - but just to prove him and everyone else wrong, we arrived about 4 mins early, and everyone was still standing out the front, and Grant was there chatting with someone, so I had to duck down and yell to the driver "go round the block - go go!!" Moral of the story, it is always better late than never...!
