another *tweet* day in the sunny bay
it all started with the idea of making a few mosaics on rocks with hayley's crew before they head south for the winter.so we went to the village yesterday and found some bits'n'pieces... and a friendly elephant.
one of our resident artists, J11, drew inspiring pictures of native NZ birds...
and today we all sat out in the sunshine where J11 helped M5 to glue the little tiles of his "ruru", an owl.
we're in the middle of a huia and a kiwi too... we're thinking we'll put them here... when we get around to the digging.

Kate, you know how to make a girl feel loved!!! THANK YOU! xxx The book will soon be on the way back to you.
BTW- I cannot believe the photo of your beautiful girl with her bone carving. She has always been the splitting image of you, but, that smile was straight from her Daddy!!!
oh jess you are so welcome, it's totally my pleasure. can't wait to get the journal, have a wonderful couple of days and *feel sparkly* X
the ruru is awesome
Awesome mosaic. I hope my kids are as crafty when they get older, it's not looking good so far.
The mosaics will look great in the garden! I was just thinking about you and your garden plans yesterday. Will it be taking shape when spring comes your way?
It will be so serene.
Wow!!!! It looks fabulous! Clever, clever kiddos! :)
