Robin Hood

S8 got up this morning and cut a few holes in an old beanie, enthusing, "Now I'm a ROBBER!!!"..
yes, you are..
and so M4 followed suit, wanting his own robber-outfit.. but we couldn't find any other old beanies, so J10 offered, "How about I KNIT you one?"..
so off he's gone, casting on stitches to fit M4's head...
(and luckily granny is coming down for a holiday, so it'll have a good chance of being finished!)

Real cool.
Luv ya all and good to share some of the moments. E.
Snap! We're reading Howard Pyle's Robin Hood at the moment. The boys have made Robin hats, and all have created a very complicated game which takes place in Sherwood Forest (aka the bush at the back of the section)...and from what I can work out everyone likes to be the Sheriff. There's lots of shouting of "Prythee lend me thy sword" and such like and T2 is always Will Scarlett??????
Their "Lincoln Greens" always come in looking very muddy - maybe I should send them to scrub off in the stream!
Love to you Kate....Rachxx
Oh, forgot to say we've all got the knitting bug too. J11 has done a pink mohair scarf and has almost finished a matching hat on circular needles. J10 has done himself and L5 a scarf. I've done so much I can hardly keep up with myself - heehee. Should start my own blog just to show you;-)
K8 and K7 are plaiting, plaiting, plaiting - any ideas what to do with hundreeds of plaited cords? (other than tie up Little John)
Rach again!
hey doll
we haven't READ any robin hood lately, F showed the kids "robin hood prince of thieves" lol
wow your knitting sounds so INDUSTRIOUS. the only thing i can think of to do with plaited cords is turn them into cornbraids :o)
lots of luv
:o) k xx
Don't want to hog your blog (heehee that sounds like somethiung you would say!!!!)....but gotta comment one more time....it seems perfectly natural that the A-Bears should be READING RH and the G's WATCHING it!!!!!!! It's calming to know some things stay the same!
