i got my science kids with a good whoosh just now. they know i'm yep, skiting now. *so* i sprinkled some copper sulphate (blue stuff) into a test tube of water (clear stuff) and stuffed in the stopper securely and shook it up. and as i started to shake it, i yelled BOOM!!! at which all the girls in the front row jumped and shrieked.

Gorgeous - you sneaky thing you giving them all a fright. x
ReplyDeleteJust wait till you start teaching them about flux capacitors and time travel!
ReplyDeleteha awesome! and much funnier than my 5th form science teacher who started off the year by announcing that he was attracted to each & every one of us, and that whether we believed it or not, we were all attracted to him too... *cue vomiting 5th former noises* of course he was referring to gravity... ;)
ReplyDeleteYou are cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteI had a crazy science teacher that I vividly remember racing around the room in a manic state, wearing his white lab coat, nervously flicking his long fringe over his balding middle patch and setting off 'controlled' explosions saying, 'Erm, now class - what did I do wrong?!'.
He certainly grabbed our attention and made our classes fun!
Well done Katie, sounds like you've got them well entertained and you sound deserving of an Oscar!
Do what you oughta, add acid to water.
