D18, it was five years ago that I fed M6 under this tree and The Gang decided to move to The Sunny Bay, nearly five years ago that you first walked up this path, The Way, to your first day at school. This afternoon was the School Leavers' Final Assembly, and tomorrow is Senior Prizegiving, where you're getting your first prize, for français, we think (btw Granny says she got her first school prize in her last year of school, for français too)
last day at school

May God be with him all the way
ReplyDeleteI could feel the love Kate you have your son through this post:)
Wooo Kate! One down, 4 to go!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for being la prix de français buddies. He may turn out to be just as cool as me! (OK, don't tell him I said that, he'll be horrified.) And I think I went steadily down hill after that... so maybe not.
Anyway, well done. :D
Oh Katie, I am blinking back tears. I still can't believe that D18 is no longer that nine year old boy with the bowl cut earnestly explaining to me how my last statement was "actually not quite correct Mrs N."
ReplyDeleteGo well into the world D18, take with you all of the love and learning from your family and change it for the better.
Love
K
xx
In today's world, sadly, there aren't many 18 year olds who are able to launch into this world from such wonderful platform.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are amazing, all of you!
Congrats to D18, the big wide world awaits....xxxx
Congratulations and best wishes to D18!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kate and Mr Kate!!
ReplyDeleteYou have done a splendid job with your first born! I too sit here (as did oacemama)in wonderment that D18 isn't that little fella anymore.
Well Done D18! Go on into the world with all the treasures your family has given you and make a difference.
Love, Da Setiuz
Congratulations, what a bittersweet time. You want them to grow up, yet to never grow up. Now you get to watch him truly grow. Congrats again Mom great job!
